ABOUT ME
Hi and welcome to my website.
I would love to help you and showcase my love and passion for the beauty industry.
​I am very fortunate to be able to be working from home with my two kids. I have always dreamed about opening up my own home salon with spa and makeup services, Spa is still in the works! My passion for this industry came at a time that I need change most in my life. My previous career of 11 years in veterinary clinics, and 6 of that as a Veterinary Technician, I needed something very different, and something that would allow me a better schedule to raise a family with out working crazy shifts, and spreading my self thin just making it by. My mother has always been a huge inspiration to me and even more so when I decided to make my career change. She is also a successful hairstylist and salon owner. I knew all the benefits to owning your own salon and I wanted nothing less.
I graduated with honours from the Barrie College of Hair and Esthetics in 2011. I have also achieved my Certification for professional makeup with top marks in my class.
In 2012, shortly after having my first child, I decided to take a big step in the direction of self-employment and started working as a beauty consultant with Arbonne. I am able to provide my clients with the highest standards & safest products available. I learned about the lack of regulations within the beauty industry as far as ingredient policies go. I was on a mission to be healthy, educate others, and empower my entrepreneurial spirit further. So with the help of my amazing customers and supportive family, I pursued my dreams to open my studio salon, Sassy Hair by Jenn.

In July of 2015 I started as a part-time assistant for Hair & Makeup on Letterkenny, which is a Crave TV show filmed right here in Sudbury. Since then I have taken on numerous daily assisting throughout the years for the Sudbury Film Industry. It's been exhilarating! I have assisted on Letterkenny in the Summer of 2017, Fall of 2017 & a daily Hair assist for a Hallmark show called Christmas Encore (2017). Previous show's and movies I have assisted on are, Music To My Ears (2013) & Born To Be Blue (2014).

Some future plans with the salon include educating stylists on my very own hair extension brand called Northern Dream Weaves. I am thrilled to be expanding this skill base to not only my customers but my fellow Canadian stylists and to be able to provide them the absolute best hair they could possibly dream of. This new adventure began in early 2019 and officially launched in May 2019. Education courses will begin online and in-classroom early 2021.

I currently reside in Lively, Ontario with my husband Jon, our 8 year old daughter Calise, our 5 year old son Bryce, and our fur babies Faith Ivy & Mimi.
My goal is to provide wonderful customer service, experience, and to work with the most trusting and caring clientele.
